Having played with and against some of the greatest basketball players, Dennis Rodman knows his stuff when he talks about the GOAT. Over the last couple of years, almost every name around the NBA has given their opinion about the GOAT debate. Joel Embiid was no exception.
Joel Embiid went on ‘The Ringer’ show and talked about who’s the GOAT for him. He weighed in on the debate, and said,
“He’s [Michael Jordan] not the GOAT. To me, you got Wilt Chamberlain. I mean, he has all the records. They’re never gonna be beaten. I don’t see anybody getting 100 points in a game. That’s it. He’s the GOAT.”
“MJ is NOT the 🐐.”—@JoelEmbiid

News of this interview made its way to Dennis Rodman, and he did not take this well.
Dennis Rodman blasts Joel Embiid for his opinion
Dennis Rodman played with Michael Jordan for three years. They have three titles to show for in the same duration. As one might know, Rodman was not the easiest player to play with, due to the constant parties and random disappearances. However, Rodman always had Michael Jordan in his corner.
To hear Joel Embiid give such a take, Dennis Rodman could not stop himself. He went on record and said,
“Joel Embiid, you’re doing a great job for your little island or country where you’re from. Shut the f— up, go do your god—- job, and do Philly proud. That’s the one thing they need, a championship.”

While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, Rodman’s answer certainly served as a full stop here. Both MJ and Wilt Chamberlain are great players with numerous accolades to their name. To compare them would be fruitless.
