Despite being the strong favourites to win the 2021 championship, the Philadelphia 76ers have been eliminated from the playoffs after an upset by Atlanta Hawks in the second round of the postseason. Unlike their regular season, Game 7 was a subpar performance by the Sixers, especially their All-Star Ben Simmons.
Trae Young and co., who seem to be brimming with confidence, were clearly the underdogs in the series. However, throughout the best-of-7 series, the inexperienced Hawks never for once shied away from the big stage.
Game 7 too, was a fantastic outing for Nate McMillan’s boys. In an incredible 103-96 win over the number one seeded Philly, every single player stepped up when required.

While Trae Young has been playing out of his mind, John Collins has also been terrific through the playoffs. The 6-foot-9 forward has been clinical in Atlanta’s success. In Game 7 too, the 23-year-old finished with an incredible 14-point and 16-rebounds double-double performance.
Despite his sensational game, Collins headlined for what he did after the game. During their postgame press conference, the high flyer was seen taking shots at Philly’s MVP candidate Joel Embiid. Collins was speaking to the media while wearing a shirt of him dunking over JoJo.

The particular photo featured on JC’s shirt was from an instance back in Game 6, when Embiid was caught in a nasty poster by the Hawks’ big man.
This not-so-subtle flex caught everyone’s attention, and that’s probably what John wants. Embiid, considered to be one of the biggest trolls in the league, will definitely not be forgetting about this moment anytime soon.
Managing to enter the Conference finals for the first time since 2015, Trae Young and his Hawks will face the wrath of back-to-back MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Bucks who are coming off a huge win against the star-studded Brooklyn team. The job for the Hawks is far from over. Definitely, Atlanta should celebrate their victory, however, should also not lose focus about their upcoming duel.
