"Kawhi Leonard is Giving the Stone Cold Steve Austin!": NBA Twitter Trolls Clippers' OG 'Fun Guy' Over Profanity on Video

The Los Angeles Clippers are a team that cannot seem to find Lady Luck’s favor. After making a past the first round in the Bubble, the Clippers blew a 3-1 lead in the 2nd round. In 2021, they made it to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history. However, with Kawhi Leonard out, Paul George and co. couldn’t take down the Suns.

After missing the whole of 2021-22 NBA season, Kawhi Leonard finally returned to the court this season. He came off the bench, and averaged 10 points, four rebounds, and 3.4 assists in the five games he played. However, he’s missed the last six games, and with PG dealing with injuries as well, things haven’t been good for the Clippers.

With a 13-11 record, the Clippers sit on the 7th spot in the West. However, that hasn’t dampened the team and Kawhi’s spirits.

Kawhi Leonard flips off Clippers’ beat writer, gets NBA Twitter in splits

For as long as he’s been in the league, there have always been comparisions drawn between Kawhi and cyborgs. However, when he joined the Raptors, Kawhi tried to change that with his ‘fun guy’ statement.

Turns out, he’s carried the same spirit over to LA, and beat writer Tomer Azarly got the blunt of it.

NBA Twitter saw this, and could not stop themselves from reacting to the same.

What is Kawhi’s injury status?

Ever since he returned from his knee injury, Kawhi has been dealing with an ankle sprain. This has been one of the key reasons behind his absence from the team’s contests.

After losing to the Kings at home, the Clippers are now heading on a four-game road trip. It is an encouraging sign to see Kawhi join the team on the trip, and be a full participant in team practices. While he’s listed as questionable for the game in Charlotte, there is hope that he suits up on the roadtrip.
