Kevin Durant has been playing a huge role in Klay Thompson's Achilles rehab: "I talk to Klay a couple of times every week"

Warriors’ guard Klay Thompson has been getting help from former teammate Kevin Durant in his injury rehab from the Achilles tear.

The Brooklyn Nets made their way to the Bay last night, as they faced the Golden State Warriors. Kevin Durant played against his former team, the Warriors, but things weren’t exactly the same. This was the first time Kevin Durant was playing in the Chase Center. The Nets beat the Warriors 134-117.

Kevin Durant chipped in with a casual 20 points, as his team had 6 players in double digits. The Nets showed a team effort, and no single player had to carry the scoring burden.

Kevin Durant is sharing insight and helping Klay Thompson with his rehab

Kevin Durant, who missed the entirety of the 2019-20 season due to an Achilles injury knows how tough the process is. Klay Thompson was dealing with his ACL injury back then, but now as Klay goes through his Achilles rehab, Kevin Durant has been a big help.

According to Malika Andrews, the two connect a few times over the week and discuss the rehab. She also added that KD knows how much Klay is itching to get back on the floor.

Durant has made a tremendous recovery from his injury, posting MVP-caliber stats. This season, KD has led the Nets with 29.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per contest. Hopefully, Klay follows KD’s footsteps and makes a full recovery as well.
