"Kwame Brown teams up with Devean George": 2001 NBA #1 draft pick invites former Lakers teammate to his podcast with over 300k subscribers to discuss his work in rehabilitating underserved communities

What started off as an expose video regarding mainstream sports media has now amalgamated into something bigger from Kwame Brown.

Kwame Brown Bust Life is one of the fastest-growing YouTube channels on the platform today. The former Lakers big man has gained over 300k subscribers over the past couple of weeks. All of this began when he posted a response to Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes.

Kwame’s first viral clip was a video called ‘Setting the record straight about All the Smoke podcast’. He talked in detail about the circumstances that led to him eventually becoming a bust as a #1 pick. He also talked about how he’s been consistently negatively singled out more than other draft busts.

The issue was further fueled when the responses from both Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. Neither of them addressed the issue at hand or apologized directly.

Things came to head when Charlamagne tha God made public a few facts about Kwame’s immediate family. To Kwame, this was clear proof of a ‘Go-along, get-along’ game between media personalities.

He then went all out on practically every analyst who’s ever brought him up in a negative light. The former Lakers star’s words resonated with hundreds of thousands. He went from around 4000 subscribers on May 16th to over 310k subscribers at the time of writing.

However, Kwame resolved quickly not to let his increasing fanbase go down the pathway of hate. Having said his piece by and large, the 39-year-old is now moving onto more constructive pursuits.

Kwame Brown hosted Judge Joe Brown on a podcast 2 days ago. It was quite well-received, and is due to hit 1 million views in a while. He next brought on his former teammate Devean George onto his podcast on Saturday.

George has been working on building affordable housing communities for underserved communities ever since his retirement. Those projects have been bearing fruit as he’s helped hundreds of disadvantaged homeless families over the years with affordable housing.

The two of them chopped it up regarding their Lakers days first, before Devean moved on to talking about the community work that he’s currently doing in many locations including Minneapolis.
