"LA Clippers would have made easy work of the Suns and Bucks if Kawhi didn't go down": Skip Bayless presents a somber take as the NBA Finals commence

Skip Bayless almost hilariously makes a somber take about the LA Clippers during game one of the Bucks vs Suns

Skip Bayless has supported the LA Clippers since day one. At a time when everybody else had started counting them out, it was the controversial analyst who believed they would win it all this year.

As fans now know, the team put together an admirable playoff run this postseason. The only reason it ended at all, is because Kawhi Leonard suffered a knee injury, keeping him on the sidelines for the rest of the campaign.

Paul George was stupendous as the first option during this time, but the team just didn’t have enough to beat the Suns.

Now, as the Suns and the Bucks battle it out for the 2021 NBA championship, Bayless is somewhat wistful about it all. And we won’t lie, it’s enough to make us laugh.

Skip Bayless believes if Kawhi Leonard wasn’t injured, the LA Clippers would be on their way to an NBA championship

To be fair to the guy, given the way they were playing, he could be right. After all, with Kawhi Leonard being a historically good performer in the postseason, and Paul George firing as well, it’s definitely plausible.

Alas, fate had other ideas. And now, while the Suns and the Bucks are fighting it out in the Finals, Skip Bayless puts this tweet up, explaining all his emotions during this time.

We won’t lie, we did feel a bit bad for the guy at first. But, given his incredible hater persona until now, the thought of him holding back tears while writing this is frankly hilarious.

Setting this all aside though, it is now the Suns and the Bucks in the finals. Phoenix took game one today, but can the Bucks bounce back? Or will they be swallowed whole in game two as well?
