Anthony Davis the ‘most critical’ part of the Lakers squad and not LeBron James insists Jared Dudley ahead of Bubble restart.

When LA Lakers acquired Anthony Davis in the offseason, they brought in All-Star support for LeBron James. Lakers hoped that they both would form one of the deadliest duos in the NBA and that has been the case.
Both LeBron and AD are having MVP caliber season. They have led the Lakers to the top of the western conference. Lakers are heading into the Orlando Bubble as the favorites with AD and LeBron.
But veteran Laker Jared Dudley thinks that Davis can still improve.
What did Dudley say?
Dudley spoke to the L.A. media on a Zoom call earlier this and talked about Davis needing to be more aggressive on the offensive side of his game especially in the playoff matches for the Lakers in Orlando in the NBA Bubble.
“AD definitely has another gear,” Dudley said.
* @JaredDudley619 said he thinks @AntDavis23 has another level that he will reach offensively, that LAL need him to be very aggressive on that end come postseason, and that AD is basically unstoppable with an attacking mindset. (The defense is always there).

“I think AD for the first time in his career since maybe Kentucky where any given night he doesn’t have to be the main scorer. I think he’s so efficient and so unselfish that sometimes he tends to be too passive. We need him to be more aggressive.” Dudley added.
“We’re going to need him to be physical. We’re going to need him to be dominant. Defensively, I don’t have any worry. Offensively, it’s not a worry. I just want him to be aggressive.”
Dudley insists despite his great defensive game Davis can be more aggressive and selfish with his scoring, which can be the key for the Lakers to win their first title in 10 years.

Anthony Davis more critical than LeBron James at NBA bubble
It might be that LeBron and Davis might not share the court together that much in Orlando, as Vogel would be looking to keep them fresh and fit.
Due to the hiatus, the fitness and minutes of every player will be managed very carefully.
That might put more pressure on Davis to lead the attack when LeBron is off the court. But if anyone is suited to handle such pressure it is AD.
“AD is going to be the most critical part of us on our quest for a championship in the bubble,” Dudley said of Davis.

And with Center Dwight Howard possibly not traveling to the Bubble, that will put the spotlight on Davis even more.
Lakers might need big performances from AD in the playoffs. AD might be the difference that leads the Lakers to the NBA title.

And with Davis being fit a Lakers title is definitely possible.
Davis is averaging 26.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game so far this season. Lakers restart their season against the Clippers on 30th July after three scrimmage games in the Orlando ‘Bubble’.
