The NBA community uncovers that the LeBron James-led Lakers are only 0.4 years older in average age than the 97-98 Bulls team

LeBron James and the Lakers are definitely not lacking in star power at the moment. With the likes of Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis acting as backup to the King, LA may just have the most star-studded team in the NBA right now.

One thing that many in the NBA community have been worried about, is the team’s age. At the moment, the team only has 3 players under the age of 30. Worse, most of the veterans on this team are either 32 or older as well.

As a result of this, fans from across the league have been roasting the team, even calling it a retirement home at times.

Recently though, a tiny little fact was uncovered by sleuths on NBA Twitter and Instagram. And let’s just say, it is proof that the Lakeshow doesn’t really have that much to worry about.

LeBron James’s Lakers’ average age is 32.1 years old, just 0.4 years older than the legendary 97-98 Bulls team

Maybe LeBron James really can be Like Mike.

As many know by now, Michael Jordan has won a whopping 6 championships with the Chicago Bulls, the last of which came in the 1998 NBA finals.

At the time, even that team was considered a bit too old to win. With Michael Jordan, and his supporting cast starting to reach the end of their prime. And while a rebuild did eventually come, many hold that the team could’ve even won a 7th championship if it had stayed together.

How is this related to the Lakers? Well, take a look at the Instagram post below.

Realistically speaking, this Lakers team isn’t that much older than the 1998 championship Bulls.

Yes, they probably won’t go down with even close to the same level of greatness. However, when it comes to age, doesn’t this go a long way to make those doubts unfounded?
