"LeBron James' cheat meals include a 16 topping pizza and some wine": The 4x NBA champion definitely knows how to have his cheat meals like a king

4x NBA champion LeBron James loves his cheat meal if his Instagram account is anything to go by.

There is no doubt that King James is one of the most gifted athletes this generation is ever seen. The kid from Akron is a physical specimen who continues to dominate the game at age 36-years.

The former rookie of the year follows an intense workout regiment. James is very particular about his diet during his training and match days.

The Lakers superstar usually prefers grilled chicken and little pasta as his pregame meal. He would also have some fruits and protein shakes from time to time.

During the playoffs, James follows a strict diet. In an episode of UNINTERRUPTED, the 4x Finals MVP spoke about how he cuts down on sugars come playoff time.

“The thing that I started cutting down is the sugars. When it comes to the playoffs, it kinda slows down the process of recovery. Throughout the regular season, it’s okay to have a little bit of it.”

“But in the postseason, optimal recovery—whoever can recover the fastest from game to game is going to put themselves in a position to be successful the next game.”

“So the sugars I kinda cut out, but the carbs I kinda ramp up. Because you’re losing so many calories, you’re burning so many calories, burning all your energy throughout those games. So I kinda go heavy on the carbs because it gives you energy. It’s worked for me.”

Though James’ diet may sound intimidating to many, the superstar definitely knows how to have fun on his cheat days.

LeBron James’ cheat day

The 17x NBA All-Star is an eternal wine lover. The superstar once told ESPN that he drinks wine “pretty much every day,” and former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate Kevin Love mentioned that James “has a supercomputer in his brain” when it comes to wine.

James is often seen indulging in Blaze pizza, which he’s an investor of as well. In 2016, the former scoring champion shared a copy of his receipt when he ordered a pizza there.

His DIY pizza had a whopping 16 toppings on it including, but not limited to, fresh basil, turkey meatballs, banana peppers, and kalamata olives.

James’ athletic trainer Mike Mancias once admitted the superstar’s craving for sugar, saying that James loved his chocolate cookie with ice cream for dessert.

King James certainly knows how to eat like an emperor. However, there is no doubt that the 36-year old’s dedication and discipline when it comes to taking care of his body is unlike we’ve ever seen.
