"LeBron James is now his best version ever": Dwyane Wade assess Lakers star's game, says his strengths are now more obvious than ever before

Dwyane Wade went on the No Chill Gil podcast recently with Gilbert Arenas, where the duo got to talking about LeBron James.

D-Wade and LeBron James comprised one of the greatest duos in league history. Through 4 seasons and change together, the Heat legends won 2 championships and made 4 Finals. They called each other peanut butter and jelly – the ingredients of every NBA player’s favorite sandwich.

Their telepathic connection on the fast break is absolutely the stuff of NBA legend. Wade was unfortunately only able to play at his peak for 2 of his 4 seasons with James. The Heat legend had his meniscus removed due to injury in college, and this affected his knees a ton as he got older.

Dwyane Wade breaks down how LeBron James has transformed his game over the years

Both Arenas and Wade had some rich praise for LeBron James and how his skillset and playing style has evolved over the years. Wade broke down how much James has improved his game over the past 10 years:

“Now I watch his game and I say, ‘Does he have a weakness in his game’?” Wade said. “It starts from the rim all the way back to half court. He can do everything. Let’s take it all the way back from the rebound. He does everything now.”

“He’s shooting in the high 40s now and his range is out to the logo. You know midrange, he can post you up, face you up. Still going to dunk on you. His ability to see the floor is so much better now because he’s seen every coverage. … I feel like this is the best LeBron I’ve ever seen.”

The Lakers romped home to the championship by trouncing every one of their opponents along the way. They will have a harder road this time around, involving travel and a whole host of other issues. Like the Nets’ Big 3, for example.
