Skip Bayless hits out at LeBron James for his age, after the Lakers get blown out by the Suns in game-5.

When fans heard that Anthony Davis wouldn’t return for game-5 against the Suns, they knew LeBron James and the Lakers were in trouble. However, nobody expected this to happen.
The game got out of hand pretty quickly, in the second quarter in fact. Heading into the start of the second, LA was only down by 8. However, by the end of the half, the deficit spanned to a shocking 30 points. And that is clearly not something the Lakers can come back from without Anthony Davis.
LeBron James especially was disappointing during this game. On a night where he was expected to take over and be aggressive, it almost seemed like the King couldn’t have been less interested. And as always, Skip Bayless has used this opportunity to go at LeBron once again.
Skip Bayless sends a sarcasm filled jab at LeBron James and the Lakers after an abysmal performance
The Lakers were embarrassing during this game. They ended the game with a score of 115-85, a whopping 30-point deficit. Dennis Schroder had 0 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist in 26 minutes. Andre Drummond had 7 points and 13 rebounds. Kyle Kuzma was the only one with a decent performance, as he recorded 15 points off the bench.
Even LeBron James played horribly today. His 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists say that he had a good game. However, the King was a -24 in this game, the worst out of the whole team. Not what the Lakers needed to say the least.
During the game, Skip Bayless took to Twitter to lament James’s performance. And while his comments are controversial as ever, the analyst may not be so wrong this time.
Here is what he posted.
Dare I say that LeBron James is starting to look … old??? No, can’t be. Must be the ankle. Not the wine and the cigars. Gotta be the ankle.

At the end of the day, fans need to remember that LeBron James is now 36-years-old. Perhaps he can’t take over games as he used to in his earlier years. And expecting him to do it again during this game may have been a bit unfair.
As the injuries and father time catch up to him, we need to accept that the King’s abilities will start to reduce with every passing game. And if his co-stars can’t step up to support him n the absence of the Brow, the Lakers are nothing short of doomed.
