On paper, the Los Angeles Lakers do not seem like a team that would light it up from beyond the arc. Having players such as LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kyle Kuzma, and more, doesn’t exactly scream the word ‘sharpshooter’.
However, after 14 total games played, the Los Angeles Lakers boast the league’s third-best 3 point shooting percentage. LeBron James has been a key contributor from 3 point range as he currently boasts a 38.2% shooting percentage from there. Big man Anthony Davis has also been lighting it from beyond the arc as he is shooting nearly 40% from 3.
When asked about the Lakers’ hot shooting this season, both LeBron James and Anthony Davis gave props to all of their teammates.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis rank all their Lakers teammates in terms of shooting
Head Coach Frank Vogel claimed that LeBron James was “probably the best shooter on the team”. This quote came after LeBron James buried a look-away 3 from the left corner, so perhaps this quote was fuelled by some recency bias.
LeBron addressed this by saying, “We got a lot of great shooters on the team. KCP, Wes Matthews are both great shooters. Kyle Kuzma can shoot the heck out of the ball. Dennis and Anthony Davis can both shoot the ball. We have a lot of great knock-down shooters.”
In regards to his own shot, LeBron said, “I feel really good with my shot right now, both from the 3-point line and the free throw line.”
The Lakers are playing pop-a-shot from the 3-point line this season, with nearly every rotation player pouring in triples. Who is their best marksman? It depends on whom you ask. A quick story from another dominant win Friday https://t.co/nmXuohfrCa

Anthony Davis however, decided to rank the best shooters on the team. He said, “I would have to say KCP is always our guy who we always look to for shots. Wes has been struggling but I still put Wes up there. I put Bron third, just because this year he’s been shooting the ball extremely well.”
If the 4x champion keeps shooting at this current clip, he’ll be on pace for having his 2nd best 3 point shooting season in the 18 years he’s played.
