Jayson Tatum has established himself as the face of the most successful NBA organisation – the Boston Celtics. Tatum is not only the best player in his team but is also considered to be among the best in the entire league.
The 2-time All-Star is only 23-years-young, who has a pretty stacked resume for a fourth-year player. The scary part, the 6-foot-8 forward is yet to reach his prime.
There are many great players in the league today. Tatum too can, rightfully, be included in that group. However, he doesn’t consider himself as the top 5 players in the league yet.
Recently, on his appearance on “Million Dollaz Worth of Game“, the Celtics forward was asked to reveal his list of top 5 players of the current set of athletes. After hesitating for a while, the former Duke Blue Devil named – LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, James Harden and Anthony Davis.

“I really respect these guys”: Jayson Tatum justifies his choice
Definitely, the five players who Tatum named are future Hall-Of-Famers. Each, in their own way, has revolutionised how the game of basketball is played while inspiring the upcoming generation of players.
When asked why he didn’t consider himself as a top 5 player yet, JT very humbly said:
“For me, the guys at the top. I really respect the guys that got championships. Everybody in that top 5 got a championship.”

Even though Harden hasn’t won a championship yet, Jayson justified James’ inclusion to the list by calling him ‘different’.

It isn’t going to be long before we witness Jayson Tatum play at an MVP level, putting him in the top 5 conversations.
Today, Jayson has been torching the league, averaging 26.4 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. This season, Tatum along with his fellow All-Star Jaylen Brown, lead the team to a subpar 36-36 record.
Fighting his way into the playoffs, clinching the 7th seed, the Celtics current difficult task at hand will be defeating the star-studded Brooklyn Nets team. Even though the Nets are the favourites to win it all, no one can deny the Celtics and Jayson Tatum’s killer mentality and talents he possesses to upset Kevin Durant and co.
