“LeBron James Looked Like a Barnyard Goat!”: Skip Bayless Takes Shot at Lakers Star for 3–26 Shooting From 3s Against Grizzlies

The Los Angeles Lakers failed to close the series tonight as the series went back to Memphis for Game 5. Up 3-1, the Lakers felt like a completely different team at the FedEx Forum. The entire team, including LeBron James, failed to find their shooting stroke tonight. This resulted in a 116-99 Game 5 loss, but more importantly, a Game 6 back in LA. As expected, Skip Bayless was right there to mock him after the 17-point loss.

The Lakers struggled from the field, going 37 of 92(40.2%) overall and 10 of 39(25.6%) from the deep. The stars couldn’t shine when it was time to close things out. Anthony Davis played well, with 31 points and 19 rebounds. However, the others couldn’t make the same connection with the ball.

LeBron James went 5 of 17 from the field, and 1 of 9 from the deep. He finished the night with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 turnovers.

Skip Bayless mocks LeBron James for his poor shooting

Even before the game ended, the Skip Bayless comments started rolling. It was almost like he was hoping for Bron and the Lakers to fail. Skip started his barrage on Twitter.

He first made a comment about how Bron will use Darvin Ham as a scapegoat now that Russell Westbrook is not there anymore.

He then made a diss at Bron, calling him ‘LeGone.’

Then, it turned to point to LeBron’s terrible shooting from the floor tonight.

Skip then brought up how terrible LeBron James has been from the deep this series.

In the end, of course, Bayless had to take a dig at the GOAT status.

What do LeBron’s playoff shooting numbers look like?

In his long, long postseason career, Bron has averaged 1.6 3s made per game. He’s attempted 4.9 3s a game, knocking them down at a 33.2% clip. This year, he’s attempting 7.2 3s a game, but is only making 1.2 per game(16.6%). That is well below his career average and his career percentage.

However, due to the enormous number of games under his belt, Bron sits 3rd on All-Time Playoffs 3-pointers made(435). If the Lakers want to close things out in Game 6, LeBron James will have to shoot the ball better.
