and Mohammad Ali while naming greatest athlete of all time

Metta World Peace says Tom Brady is the greatest athlete of all time, picks him over Michael Jordan and Mohammad Ali.

The NFL and the NBA boast some of the greatest athletes in the entire world. American football and basketball are two of the most draining sports to compete in at a professional level.

The ability to handle intense physicality mixed in with the need of raw talent is a tough combination to pack into one person. The NFL demands a person of this calibre at virtually every position.

Whether it be a running back or a wide receiver, having an athletically gifted player at any position is advantageous. Keeping this in mind, Metta World Peace decided to use his time off to stir up a heated debate on who the greatest athlete of all time is.

Metta World Peace picks Tom Brady as the greatest athlete of all time

Metta World Peace tweeted this a couple of hours back: “Who’s the greatest athlete of all time? I’m going with Tom Brady. Please don’t be mad at me.”

Well, as Twitter goes, people were mad. His followers could not fathom how the 6x Super Bowl winner could be chosen over players such as Michael Jordan, LeBron James, or even NFL players like Peyton Manning.

When it comes to pure athletic ability, the NBA’s greatest high flyers such as Michael Jordan and LeBron James edge out the NFL’s ‘GOAT’ by a long shot. Ever since this tweet went out, Metta has turned his account private on Twitter.

Is Tom Brady truly the greatest athlete of all time?

Tom Brady isn’t even the greatest athlete in NFL history, let alone American sports history. QBs such as Michael Vick edge out the Buccaneer by a mile.

Wide receivers are generally much more athletic than quarterbacks as they need to be faster and having a great vertical leap. Tom Brady’s former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick even admitted in 2018 that Brady wasn’t a “great natural athlete”, but used his wits and knowhow of the game to his advantage.
