LeBron James misses a wide open duck against the Chicago Bulls and NBA fans hilariously react to the Lakers star’s miss, online.

The Los Angeles Lakers have improved their record to a league best 13-4 after their win over the Chicago Bulls tonight. It was an old-fashioned blowout win for the Lakers as Anthony Davis led the way with a season-high 37 points.

LeBron James was quite active on the boards tonight as he grabbed 11 of them, to go along with 17 points. James has been quite the player this 2020-21 season. He’s in the running for league MVP yet again as he’s leading the Lakers to the best record in the Western Conference while putting up averages of 24, 7, and 7.

LeBron James misses a dunk and fans react on social media

LeBron James is known for punishing the rim with his dunks in almost every single game he plays. Even at age 36, the ‘King’ hasn’t really lost that much of a step when it comes to elevating for a slam.

Tonight however, LeBron found an unlikely opponent who decided to check him as he went for his signature right handed cock-back dunk. As he tried to jam the ball in, all it hit was the front iron, making LeBron miss the dunk.

This is a rare occasion for the 4x champion but it has happened before. Perhaps his most notable missed dunk would be when he tried to end Draymond Green’s career in Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals.

The dunk he missed tonight might be attributed to his left ankle injury. James twisted his left ankle on opening night and he’s been on the injury list ever since. He took off using this ankle so it could be because of this that he missed the dunk
