Montana Yao initiates divorce proceedings with Malik Beasley following Larsa Pippen controversy
Montana Yao has filed for divorce from Malik Beasley after pics of the Timberwolves guard with Larsa Pippen emerged.
According to E! News, Yao started divorce proceedings on Thursday when she first saw pics of Beasley with Larsa. She was ‘blindsided’ by this.
“Montana filed for a divorce the day she saw the photos. Montana never cheated, and it’s not in her character. She’s not dating anybody. She’s a family person. She’s focusing on taking care of her son with her parents. They are quarantining together. Her son is her first priority.”
Yao posted the following words to her Instagram story on December 1.
“I’ve always and will forever remain true to who I am and GOD has never let me down. The truth always comes out one way or another. Appreciate all the love y’all for real. Wow… I don’t even know this man..this is wild y’all I’m seeing it for the time just like y’all.”
How Larsa Pippen and Malik Beasley came to be together
Sources close to Larsa Pippen indicate that the two had been texting for weeks before being spotted together in Miami. Apparently, Beasley had led her to believe that he was ending his relationship with his baby mama, Yao.
Pippen, naturally, felt she was doing nothing wrong by hanging out with a man who she believed to be available. She also responded to the recent attention on social media.

“Don’t always trust what you see on social media,” Pippen wrote on Instagram. “Even salt looks like sugar.”
Larsa also made waves a few weeks back when she revealed she was seeing Tristan Thompson. She said this was in 2016, before he met Khloe Kardashian. She insists the couple met through her, and then Thompson left her for Khloe. Larsa was also one of the Kardashians’ best friends and appeared on their reality show several times in the past.
