Spurs vs Pelicans Preview
No. 12 seed Pelicans will face No. 11 seed Spurs in a do or die match, the losing side will nearly end their hopes for the playoff stages.
The two teams have 30 wins apiece and if any one of the two manage to win their next three encounters, with 33 wins they can end on No. 9 seed which can give them a chance to enter the play-in tournament.
However, the odds are stacked up against Spurs and Pelicans, as 3 other teams above them have a higher chance of making to the playoffs.. Suns (31 wins), Blazers (32 wins), and Grizzlies (33 wins) sit on 10th, 9th, and 8th spot respectively.

Pelicans Star rookie Zion Williamson is likely to return for today’s match as he was rested in the previous match against Wizards.
The 6-Foot-6 has been underwhelming in the Bubble and needs to fire big against Spurs as it is a do or die situation for the Pelicans. Zion has scored 47 points in his previous two games. Contribution from Ingram, Holiday, and Redick can also get Pelicans past Spurs. The trio has been impressive in Orlando.
With no injuries listed on the Pelicans’ day-before report, all indications are that Zion Williamson will play in New Orleans’ must-win game Sunday against San Antonio

Spurs are also in a similar situation as Pelicans. They too need a win to stay in the race for the playoffs. They defeated a strong Jazz unit in the previous match and will look to repeat that performance against Pelicans. Lonnie Walker IV, DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl, and Derrick White are in good shape and Pelicans will find it hard to stop them. White is averaging 24 PPG in the 2019-20 NBA season.
