Following the 2022 NBA Finals loss against the Golden State Warriors, many fans expected the Boston Celtics to redeem themselves by winning the 2023 Championship. After reaching all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals, Jayson Tatum and co. were eventually edged out by the Jimmy Butler-led Miami Heat despite dragging a 0-3 deficit to seven games. With yet another season passing by without a title, it seems Tatum has devoted himself to the grind. After enjoying some time off earlier in the summer, JT has been hitting the gym regularly. During one of his sessions in the gym, the 6-foot-8 Forward managed to lift 495 lbs with relative ease recently, leaving social media in awe.

Jayson Tatum did enjoy his summer, going on vacation and hosting his camp. However, he soon returned to the gym to get his body prepared for the upcoming season. The former Duke Blue Devil even met up with teammate Jaylen Brown and worked out with Drew Hanlen. Tatum’s antics on social media have managed to impress Celtics fans before training camp.

Jayson Tatum leaves NBA Twitter in awe

Jayson Tatum has gained a lot of muscle and is visibly stronger since he first set foot on the NBA hardwood. With the passing of every year, the 25-year-old seems to be getting stronger. This time around, the star forward was seen lifting a 495 lb bar, almost 285 lbs heavier than what he weighs (210 lbs). As difficult as it sounds, Tatum didn’t seem too bothered lifting the mountain in ClutchPoints’ tweet.

As soon as the video was uploaded, it instantly went viral. Numerous fans had varied reactions to the clip. User @raidenwontmiss hyped up Tatum and implied that next season is going to be unfair for all of his opponents.

@umehta24 believed that the four-time All-Star could compete for the Most Valuable Player trophy this season.

@GBFCP was one of the many who was in shock of Tatum’s strength.

The Boston Celtics will be pleased with the offseason work that Jayson Tatum is putting in. After all, being the franchise player, Tatum needs to set an example for all his teammates.

Joel Embiid working out with Tatum stirs rumors

Things haven’t been easy for the Philadelphia 76ers. The franchise was already in distress with the entire James Harden-Daryl Morey incident. Soon after, Joel Embiid also joined the party, removing Philadelphia as his location from his Twitter bio. Several fans are speculating that JoJo is looking to part ways with the Sixers organization.

After working out with Jayson Tatum, Embiid further added fuel to the fire. Rumors broke out that the reigning MVP was interested in joining the Boston Celtics. However, despite the fiasco that is going on in Philly, it seems highly improbable that Embiid will join the Celtics. It is pretty common for Joel to work out with the Boston star in the offseason.
