The Gasol-Bryant partnership for the Lakers was one of the best duos ever in the NBA. They won two titles together for the Lakers. But their friendship extended off the court as well. They both were extremely close friends and even their families were close.
The tragic death of Kobe and his daughter earlier this year hit the entire world hard, especially the Bryant family as well as the Gasol family.
But life goes on, and Gasol is still close with the Bryant family.

Gasol spends time with Kobe’s children on his birthday
Gasol still has an unbreakable bond with Kobe and the Bryant family, and it could be seen as Pau was recently seen spending time with Kobe’s children, Natalia, Bianka, and Capri.
And to make the day even more special, it was the birthday of the 2 time NBA champion.
Gasol choosing to spend his birthday with Kobe’s family shows how strong their friendship and bond was and still is.

Love and respect go both ways between the Gasol and Bryant families. Vanessa Bryant took to Instagram to show love for Gasol by posting on his birthday.
Vanessa wrote:
“Happy 40th birthday uncle Pau! We ❤️you. Love, The Bryant Girls. I know Kobe would say,’ Happy 40th birthday Pablo! Love you, Hermano’. ❤️ @paugasol (thx for Natalia’s #boomboompau sweatshirt auntie @catmcdonnell7 ☺️).”
Kobe Bryant- Pau Gasol friendship
This isn’t the first time that Gasol has shown love for the Bryant family. On Gigi’s birthday in May, Pau sent a cake to Vanessa and the Bryant family.

Kobe and Gasol shared a great bond both on and off the pitch. They had great chemistry and an amazing partnership. Kobe also helped Gasol improve his game drastically.
The Duo played together for the Lakers from 2008 to 2014, winning two titles in 2009 and 2010.
