“This is the end for the Clippers”: Skip Bayless paints a grim image for Paul George and co following their Game 4 loss to Devin Booker and the Suns

Paul George and his LA Clippers capped off a great run in the 3rd quarter of Game 3 with an amazing, buzzer-beating halfcourt shot.

The Los Angeles Clippers entered Game 3 with their 2020-21 season effectively on the line. Their best player and 2-time Finals MVP is possibly out for the rest of this year’s playoffs with an ACL injury.

They needed their team to rally back with a spirited response, and that’s exactly what they got. The Clippers came out shooting from the jump and kept control of the scoreline for most of the game.

Despite being in a deficit to start the second half, they turned the intensity up on both ends to race to a lead. Paul George cemented this lead with one of the craziest shots made in this year’s playoffs. Take a look for yourself.

This shot was the perfect finish to a quarter in which the Clippers scored 34 points of their own while holding the Suns to just 21. Paul George and most of his Clippers teammates had started this game off pretty cold. But that changed with this quarter.

George, Terance Mann and Reggie Jackson were all enthusiastic in driving to the bucket and forcing the Suns to rotate. This opened up some exemplary looks for the Clippers’ shooters all game long. Luke Kennard was among those who took advantage of this, later in the 4th quarter.

Paul George Game 3 stats

The former Pacers and Thunder star is probably in the form of his life at the moment. He’s been a major part of the Clippers’ Game 3 win. He’s paid his dues with perimeter defense and he’s also been dominant while crashing the defensive glass.

The Clippers star was at 25 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists with 6:02 left in the 4th. He’ll be expected to take the Clippers home to a morale-boosting win down the stretch.
