“Paul George is the LA Clippers’ most important player”: NBA legend Shaquille O’ Neal makes his case for the LA Clippers to succeed in the 2021 NBA Playoffs
Paul George is one of the most elite 2-way players in the NBA today. The former MIP has been on-and-off in the 2021 NBA Playoffs so far.
The LA Clippers asserted themselves as the better team in Game 4 defeating Utah Jazz 118-104. The superstar duo of Leonard and George had 30 points each.
PG 13 was 46.4% from the field and 41.4% from the 3-point line during Game 4. George has been averaging 27.3 PPG, 8.0 RPG, and 4.3 APG in his 4 games so far in the Playoffs.
The 7x NBA All-Star was on a redemption journey this year owing to his poor performance in the Bubble last year.
The resurrection of Paul George
PG 13’s biggest criticism of not performing during the Playoffs, especially during elimination games may just be put to rest owing to his great performances this year in both the regular season as well as the postseason.
NBA legend and Inside the NBA analyst Shaquille O’ Neal has this to say about the importance of George on the LA Clippers:
“For the Clippers, Kawhi is the best player on team, but most important guy is the Playoff P. Playoff P plays like he played the other night, it will be tie,“
Shaq has always been an advocate for George, who has been on the receiving end of trolls and mocking for a while now.
The LA Clippers made several changes this year starting with appointing Ty Lue as their head coach and acquiring seasoned talents like Serge Ibaka and Rajan Rondo.
The Clippers most definitely have a good depth to their lineup and a great coach in Lue, who won LeBron James his 3rd title in Cleveland after being down 3-1.

George has been the perfect co-star to 2x NBA champion and Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, who has been unstoppable lately shooting 50.8% from the field in the 4 games so far against the Jazz.
