"Really, Bron? It's MEMPHIS": Skip Bayless mocks LeBron James for calling Dillon Brooks too small after swishing fadeaway jumper in Lakers win

Skip Bayless was unrelenting in his mocking of LeBron James after the Lakers star rocked the cradle on Dillon Brooks.

The Lakers huffed and puffed to victory over currently the most debilitated team in the league. The Grizzlies are without their two best players in Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. They are currently at 2-5, the worst record in the Western Conference. But on the night, they played some exemplary defense.

They kept the game close all night long. At some points, LeBron’s frustration was visible as none of his teammates other than AD shot efficiently. To Davis’s credit, he kept going after a knock to his eye in the second half.

The game was a grinder, and definitely one of the worst played this season so far. The Grizzlies were as toothless as they come on offense, with their highest scorers only netting 13 points. The entire game had only 28 fouls in total, with 14 apiece for each team.

Skip Bayless critiques LeBron James for trash talking Dillon Brooks

With about a minute left in the game, the ball was in James’ hands on the post. Just as he did against the Spurs, James made a fadeaway jumper to give the Lakers a 5-point lead with 1:03 left. He flexed on Dillon Brooks, saying he’s too small to guard James.

Bayless wasted no time or effort in getting word out there about LeBron’s insecurity

There is nothing inherently arrogant, wrong or funny about a player trash talking an opponent after a spectacular play. What makes it even more appropriate is that Brooks himself was staring James down earlier in the game.

If it was any other player in the NBA – especially Westbrook – Skip would wax eloquent about their ‘killer mentality’. Bayless stays taking Ls after this one.
