‘Russell Westbrook as a PG disqualifies everything GM LeBron James has done’: Skip Bayless delivers a back-handed compliment to Lakers superstar

NBA analyst Skip Bayless compliments LeBron James and the Lakers for their free-agency moves, criticizes the Russell Westbrook trade yet again

The Los Angeles Lakers have been keeping busy. It hasn’t even been two whole days since the start of the free agency, and we’re down to the final roster spots. The Lakers wasted no time in going after the players they want. After the Russell Westbrook signing, it was clear that they needed shooters, and that’s what they got.

The Lakers signed young talent such as Malik Monk and Kendrick Nunn, who along with Talen Horton Tucker would be the only young guys on the roster. They also added Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Trevor Ariza, Wayne Ellington, and Kent Bazemore on minimum deals. With all these moves, the Lakers now have a solid roster, with LeBron James and Anthony Davis at the helm of the ship.

Skip Bayless delivers a backhanded compliment to LeBron James

When I opened Twitter today, I couldn’t believe what I read. Skip Bayless complimenting LeBron James?! However, that emotion washed away as I read the entirety of the tweet. What started out as a compliment became a backhanded one as Skip managed to take a shot at King James anyway.

Instead of directly calling out LBJ for something, he nullified all of the Lakers’ post-season moves because of Russell Westbrook at the PG position.

With the flurry of moves that the Lakers have made already, and the final spots left, the Lakers are looking like a threat. Despite their advanced ages, the squad is full of talent, and should give each and every team a run for their money.
