'Showing Off' His $10,000 Wedding Gown, Dennis Rodman Uses His 'Do Anything I Wanna Do' Mentality To Promote His Brand

Dennis Rodman is an NBA legend who gained notoriety for his eccentricity. However, rather than denying it, The Worm embraced his persona very early on and continues to live by it. He often displayed this through his fashion choices, which included a $10,000 piece of clothing he dawned in the 90s. Nowadays, Rodman lives as he preaches, claiming he’ll do whatever he wants, regardless of what people think. A philosophy that he has utilized to promote and sell his own apparel.

Back in the 1990s, Rodman displayed a unique fashion sense when he decided to marry himself. It was an eccentric move, yet one that wasn’t unfamiliar to him or even those who knew him. Wearing a $10,000 white wedding gown, the five-time NBA Champion caught the attention of the world. To the media, this looked like just another one of Rodman’s antics, but in reality, he perfectly utilized the situation to promote his autobiography.

Dennis Rodman continues to be free-spirited and unapologetic about it even in his 60s

In a promotional video shared on Instagram, fans got an all-new look at Dennis Rodman and his personality. The video featured an interview with Rodman where he talked about his eccentricism. He claimed that it did not bother him and that regardless of what people thought, he would continue to do what he wanted to do. Inspirational words, that were followed by the blaring of EDM (Electronic Dance Music).

The truth is, The Worm has always been free-spirited. He never let anything bother him and always did what made him feel best. However, this often got him in trouble. Whether it was taking a break between Finals games to go to Las Vegas, or accumulating exorbitant fines with his antics on the court. He unapologetically did what he wanted to do.

This has persisted even to this day. At the age of 60, Rodman continues to be as free-spirited as ever. It is likely no amount of backlash or public criticism can change him. As far as he is concerned, all those who don’t like it can go to ‘hell’.

“Look at me! This is it, this is what you get. See what you get and feel what you like. I’m free. Imma do anything I wanna do, if you don’t like it, hell with you. Imma do it!”

Rodman has been applying this ideology to his current businesses. Having started his own brand, ‘Rodman Apparel’, the Hall of Famer has been spotted at several events fitted in his own products. This happened recently when he made an appearance at an AEW event. A perfect example of just how free-spirited he is.

Rodman once went against David Stern’s orders and got himself more tattoos

In the ’90s, the NBA was intent on keeping a squeaky-clean image. As a result, having a player like Dennis Rodman, who was covered in tattoos, had earrings, and even dyed his hair was a problem. With this in mind, then-Commissioner, David Stern called Rodman into his office for a meeting. He informed him that he would have to stop getting tattoos and even threatened to have him removed from the league.

It was a straightforward warning, but, as expected, one that The Worm didn’t care for. As the story goes, soon after the meeting, Rodman went out and got more tattoos, just to spite the commissioner. A move, that was in line with his eccentric and free-spirited personality.

Rodman truly is a person who skips to the tune of his own beat. It does not matter whether you’re someone who holds a place of authority or just a random passer-by trying to share your criticism. Dennis Keith Rodman will do as he pleases.
