Stephen Curry Brother & Sister: Everything You Need to Know About Warriors Star’s Siblings
Stephen Curry is the eldest child of former NBA player Dell Curry and his wife Sonya Curry. Seth Curry is Stephen Curry’s brother who is about 2.5 years than the Warriors point guard and Sydel Curry-Lee is their sister who is 7 years younger than Steph.
All the 3 siblings much like their parents are thoroughly into sports, playing college level at the very least. Like their father, the two sons made it to the NBA and are both terrific shooters. And like her mother, Sydel was a college volleyball player.
Let’s get down to the details of Curry’s siblings.
Stephen Curry’s brother: Seth Curry
Following his father and elder brother’s footsteps, Seth, who now plays for the Brooklyn Nets, came into the league in 2013. His route wasn’t as easy as Steph though.
Even after playing at Duke, no team picked Seth Curry in 2013 for having similar scouting reports as Steph that kept him as the 7th pick in 2009.
He then made his way through the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G-league and immediately got a call from the Memphis Grizzlies the same year. However, it took him 2 years to get some real game time with Sacramento Kings.
He has now been in the NBA for 10 years, having been moved around to different teams 10 times in that period while averaging over 11 points per game, playing just over 24 minutes, mostly off the bench.
Seth is now a proven post-season performer having played in contending teams like the Mavericks and the Nets over the past few years. Multiple teams will have their eyes on the 32-year-old guard in the summer.
Steph Curry’s sister: Sydel Curry-Lee
Sydel went to Charlotte Christian School and captained her high school volleyball team to Southern Section Division IV titles. She also played club volleyball for Carolina Union and has the record for most assists in the National Championship Tournament, organized by US Youth Association.
An All-American talent, she then attended Elon University and played in the college team for two years even after suffering an ACL injury. She was named a third-team All-American and first-team All-CAA in her junior year. But she had to retire the next year due to her injury.
Sydel then married NBA player, Damion Lee, who was then a teammate of Steph at Golden State, holding a two-way contract with the team. Lee was still a part of the team when Steph led them to a Championship in 2022, but now plays for Phoenix Suns.
Following multiple miscarriages, Sydel and Damion had a baby boy in 2021 — Daxon Wardell-Xavier Lee. Sydel recently shared the news of her pregnancy for a second baby.
