‘Stephen Curry is as much a freak of nature as Lakers’ LeBron James’: Barack Obama explains how Warriors superstar is a great athlete
Barack Obama thinks we underestimate how great other athletes, like Steph Curry, are as athletic specimens, because of LeBron James.
LeBron’s physique screams ‘freak of nature’ like few other athletes in any sport. If a scientist had to design the perfect basketball player in the lab, he’d probably come out with some variation of Bron. The delts on this man are humongous.
Basically, James is too big, too strong, too fast and too good to be reined in at any level of the game. There is a school of thought which says he could also have been an NFL quarterback or a tight end if he’d put his mind to it.
I like that Obama elaborates on why, which is missed by casuals all the time. The reason Steph is the greatest shooter of all time is the combination of his efficiency, volume, and variation of shot-making. https://t.co/hDSlZgIPvH

Why Barack Obama thinks Steph and LeBron are both physical freaks
Appearing on the Bill Simmons podcast, Obama had a rad time talking basketball. When asked about what he thought about Steph, Obama lavished a lot of praise on the unanimous MVP:
“These world-class athletes, they’re like X-Men. Some of them you can tell are like the Hulk. You’re standing next to LeBron, you know he’s a freak. Stand next to Steph, and he’s like one of those guys who has some superpower (where) he takes off his glasses or something. You can’t see right away, but is just as much of a freak.”
Barack also gave him props as the greatest shooter of all time:
“That’s not even a question, absolutely. I have not seen anybody who can shoot that way, in as many ways, in as unlikely ways, as consistently as Steph Curry. I know Steph well. Everything he does, it’s precise and neat and tight.”
