The Lakers Grizzlies game derailed after Shannon Sharpe trash-talked Dillon Brooks. Sharpe, a known LeBron James supporter, was sitting courtside for the game. Watching Brooks guard LeBron, Sharpe made a vocal observation. He told the 6ft 7″ Grizzlies star how he was too small to guard the king.

This led to more trash-talking and eventually, a scuffle broke out. Tee Morant, who is the father of Ja Morant, joined the foray and had a shouting contest with the FS1 analyst. The game resumed only after the security stepped in and the two sides were separated.
NBA fans call out Tee Morant for underplaying the scuffle with Shannon Sharpe
Tee Morant later commented on the altercation and claimed it was merely trash-talking. Insider Chris Haynes tweeted Tee’s comments about the Shannon Sharpe scuffle.
Haynes wrote: “Tee Morant — father of Ja Morant — tells NBA on TNT he and Shannon Sharpe “are good” and has “nothing but love for him.” Said it’s just two guys from the South talking trash and supporting their teams.”
However, fans were not convinced by Tee’s explanation. They called him out for obviously underplaying what transpired tonight.

To be fair to the fans, the scuffle did look pretty serious at first. With Steven Adams and Tee Morant’s involvement, Shannon Sharpe got even more agitated. Even his small interview about the incident highlighted that he was definitely ready for things to get physical. Fortunately, the situation was handled before it could turn into a proper brawl.
However, contrary to how it seemed at that moment, Shannon and Tee seem to have made up.
Shannon and Ja Morant’s father hugged it out
A video shared after the game showed Tee and Shannon hugging. This clearly shows that the two have made up. Perhaps Tee was right, maybe it was just people being really passionate about their favorite teams.

But we guess Tee’s investment in the Grizzlies is a lot more than Sharpe’s in the Lakers. After all, Tee’s son is the new face of that franchise. That being said, the Grizzlies have been a lot more rowdy and aggressive in the last two seasons.
Their attitude has invoked two very different emotions in fans. While some fans hate their guts, others really enjoy their competitiveness. Which side are you on?
