To be chosen as one to watch out for in the future by none other than Michael Jordan would be nothing short of a lifetime achievement. For Chris Paul, this was exactly the case. The point guard was singled out by MJ once and for a very young CP, it was the moment of a lifetime.

Chris was at MJ’s camp during his high school days and he got the opportunity to meet and interact with the Bulls legend himself. But what he didn’t know was that Jordan himself would pick him out of the bunch.
On a podcast called NBA Hooper Vision, Chris was asked how it felt to be chosen by MJ. And his response is what we all would have expected.
“After MJ saw that he picked you for the rest of the week!”@CP3 reflects on being picked up by Michael Jordan at Jordan camp as a high-school prospect.

Chris Paul recalls the time Michael Jordan picked him in high-school
Chris told the hosts who all played against MJ in his prime, “Man, it was dope, man. You remember, y’all remember more than anything y’all like ‘played’ played against MJ. For me, that was one of the only times I actually got the chance to hoop with him, play against him.”
Clearly, Chris was not happy that he couldn’t play against His Airness during his prime. He goes on to say, “Y’all know what it’s like in the league when you sort of catch somebody in the tail-end of their career or catch them early in their career. (Do) You know what I’m saying? That was my only taste of playing against MJ.”
Chris reminisces about that moment very fondly
The way Chris talks about the moment is nothing short of joyous. It is like the glee a child gets when he/she gets a sweet. Paul was since drafted into the NBA and was one of the first athletes to sign with the Jordan brand.
Michael saw his potential, and for the last 18 seasons, he has been nothing short of magical. Chris has gone on to establish himself as one of the best passers of all time.
Jordan saw his future and signed him to his brand. Another shrewd business move by the Charlotte Hornets owner.
