Skip Bayless hits out at Luka Doncic and says he doesn’t believe the star is suffering from any injury at the moment
Luka Doncic is by far one of the best players in the NBA already. At just 22-years-old, the player is already spearheading a franchise and looks destined to be the best player in the NBA very soon.

The player has even shown up in the postseason, a place where most young players struggle, and has put up some incredible performances in the first three games of the series against the Clippers. His performance in the fourth game, however, was a little concerning.
The star looked far more passive than he has looked in a long time. He didn’t get into the teeth of the defense quite as much as before. And even when he did, he almost seemed like he didn’t know what to do.
Many have since pointed to his niggling back injury at the moment, which put him in doubt for game-4 in the first place. But, while most of the NBA community has accepted this, it seems Skip Bayless is having none of it.
“Doncic’s neck is so hurt that he’s scoring at will”: Skip Bayless accuses reports of Luka Doncic’s injury to be complete bogus
We’d say Skip Bayless is back at it yet again, but frankly, he never stopped.
The analyst has become famous for making insulting and hateful takes on the best players in the NBA. Usually, his target of choice has been Lakers’ star, LeBron James. However, it seems he’s slowly starting to bring Luka Doncic into the rotation as well.
Acting as proof of this point, here is his tweet on the player’s injury.
Doncic’s neck is so hurt that he’s scoring at will. Just stop it. This is the perfect narrative: If he rallies the Mavs to a huge win – wouldn’t surprise me a bit – he’s the incredible hero. If he doesn’t, he’s “hurt.”

In game-4, the Slovenian grabbed just 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists, while shooting 9 of 24 from the field, and 1 of 7 from deep. And, while any given player can have a bad game, it was Doncic’s play that gave away how badly he was hurting. If we were Mavericks fans, we would be seriously worried about how passive he was in the game.
Honestly, we think this is the Clippers bias in Bayless talking. The analyst has supported the franchise this whole year. And so, suffice to say, he would have to swallow his own words if they were to lose.
Overall though, we hope that Luka Doncic can get back healthy. And if he can, this series will undoubtedly continue to be one of the more interesting first-rounders in this postseason.
