Stephen A. Smith was recently a guest on the Club Shay Shay show with Hall Of Famer Shannon Sharpe. While on the show, Stephen A. reminded Shannon Sharpe that he has been covering LeBron James since LeBron first stepped foot on an NBA floor. The ESPN host went on to complement LeBron, calling LeBron’s achievements in the league “phenomenal”. The veteran journalist went on to remind everyone that LeBron James would be retiring soon and that LeBron would be missed dearly whenever he decides to hang up his sneakers.

But in true Stephen A. Smith fashion, he went on to reiterate who he believed the Greatest of all time was. Sticky by his pick, the 55-year-old gave out solid reasoning as to why Michael Jordan was his clear favorite. Going further, Stephen A. did clarify that LeBron was his second choice, only behind none other than No.23 himself.

Listen, we are going to miss him when is gone“. Stephen A. continued, telling Shannon Sharpe, “The only blemish on his career is that he took his talents to South Beach, that is it”.

Stephen A., went on to mention that his decisions were purely based on his “basketball perspective”. Stephen A., while admitting to the fact that going to Miami did affect LeBron’s stock in the Goat debate, also mentioned a plethora of things that made LeBron great.

Stephen A. believes that Floyd Mayweather is more a ‘Jordan’ than a ‘LeBron’

While discussing sports, the duo of Shannon and Stephen A, ended up on the topic of boxing. Stephen A. pointed out the fact that both of the athletes had not lost went it mattered the most.

Bringing up Jordan’s record of going 6-0 in the finals, Stephen A. said, “You talk about Mayweather, right Mayweather? I would say the same about Jordan but that’s the difference. I mean, I’m glad that you heard that; I mean, that’s what I’m talking about. I’m saying, you know because Jordan’s gonna make you look like you’re less than what y’all like.”

Shannon did rebut his co-host with arguments in favor of his GOAT, LeBron James. The recent episode of the club Shay Shay, showed the world a preview of what was in store for the future of First Take on ESPN, as both co-hosts seemed ready to battle it out on live television in front of millions of viewers.
