In the current day, to get into the NBA, high school students can take quite a few paths. They can either join a college for a minimum of one year, or they can join a professional league, either the G-League or an overseas one, for a minimum of a year. However, the same wasn’t applicable when LeBron James was in high school.

Back then, high school players were allowed to enlist for the NBA Draft. It was in 2006 that the NBA implemented the one-and-done rule. According to the rule, players must be out of high school for a year before they can get to the NBA.
With Bronny committing to USC, fans all across the globe are wondering where did his father go to college?
Where did LeBron James go to college?
LeBron James did not go to any college. He played for St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, making his name across the nation. When he finished his high school in 2003, he made his way straight to the NBA. The Cleveland Cavaliers selected James as the #1 Pick in the 2003 Draft, and the rest is history.
Even though he never went to college, in 2013, James addressed where he would’ve liked to go. According to Cleveland.com, James said that Ohio State would’ve been his choice to go to.
“I promise, I say this all the time — if I had one year of college, I would have ended up here. No matter where I go in the world, no matter where it is, I will always rock Ohio State colors.
It’s not like James had any shortage of offers though. The #1 High School prospect, LBJ had offers from schools like Duke, Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina, and many more prestigious schools. When asked to name a school other than Ohio State, he said it would have been between Duke and North Carolina.
