While James Harden Adamantly Demands $35,640,000 Clippers Move, Joel Embiid Excites Sixers Fans with 6-Word Admission: “Got Big Plans!”
The Philadelphia 76ers have been one of the most silent teams this free agency. They have barely made any trades to change their roster after yet another disappointing postseason run. James Harden had decided to opt for his $35,640,000 player option this year despite requesting for a trade out of Philly. Harden is hopeful for a move to the Clippers, although the Sixers’ front office haven’t indicated toward any ongoing negotiations. Meanwhile, Joel Embiid recently visited 76ers owner Michael Rubin’s “White Party”. Speaking to the media at the party, Embiid shared his hopes for next season with a six-word admission, which might excite fans amid a disappointing offseason.
According to recent reports, James Harden is adamant that he wants to go to the Los Angeles Clippers this season. He became a free agent last month and sees LA as the right place for him to end up and win a championship. Interestingly, Harden was also at Michael Rubin’s white party, showing off his impeccable fashion sense.
Joel Embiid says the 76ers have big plans for the upcoming season
After the 76ers were ousted by the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals last season, there were rumors that the organization might make big changes in the upcoming season. However, they have not made any major moves this free agency. With James Harden’s future hanging in uncertainty, Philly fans are doubtful about the roster of the team for the next season.
James Harden still wants out of Philadelphia and is ‘determined’ to end up with the Clippers, per @sam_amick

However, the fans might have some good news from their star player, Joel Embiid. In a brief interview with Rachel Nichols at the White party, the 76ers star talked about big plans for the next season. “Big season, we got big plans. And hopefully we good enough,” said Embiid in the video. This will surely give some hope to Philly fans amidst uncertainty in the organization.
The 76ers have been legitimate title contenders for a few seasons now. But the 2023 NBA MVP has failed to lead the team out of the second round of the playoffs. It will be interesting to see what changes Embiid makes in his game to push for a Championship ring next year.
The 76ers want to build around Tyrese Maxey and Embiid
While James Harden is ready to move on from Philly, the team has made it clear that they are not ready to talk about any trade involving their young star, Tyrese Maxey. A while ago, NBA insider Brian Windhorst reported that Maxey is so valuable to the team that the organization doesn’t want to entertain any trade ideas regarding the player. According to Windy, Maxey’s value to the team is more than that of a prime Michael Jordan or LeBron James.
“Prime Michael Jordan is available? Don’t call. 25-year-old LeBron James is available? Lose our number. Giannis Antetokounmpo says, ‘I want to be a Sixer.’ If Tyrese Maxey is the ask, just keep walking.”

Any major move from Philly this year will surely involve James Harden and it may decide the fate of the franchise for the next few seasons.
