“Why does LeBron James get to play above the rules?”: Kwame Brown goes off on Lakers MVP not receiving any punishment for violating the NBA’s health and safety protocols

Kwame Brown rips into LeBron James and the NBA for not punishing the Lakers MVP for violating the COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

LeBron James having become one of the most important figures in North American entertainment seems to have placed him into some hot water with a bevy of NBA personalities. The correlation here is that with James mingling with the A-tier list of celebrities on the regular, it’s nearly impossible for him to turn down invitations from some of his closest friends, such as in this case, Drake.

LeBron James ventured out to a party for a tequila company he’s invested in, financially, and did so with rapper, Drake, while seemingly wearing no mask. This was strange as it was confirmed by his teammate Dennis Schroder that the reigning Finals MVP had not vaccinated himself and hence, was not in the clear to go maskless in large gatherings.

The aftermath of LeBron attending this event was fairly calm however, as he was informed by the NBA that he had violated health and safety protocols but was neither fined nor quarantined. This did not bode well with many, especially with Kwame Brown.

Kwame Brown does not appreciate LeBron James’s preferential treatment.

Kwame Brown has been on a tear this past few weeks as he’s been calling out a bevy of personalities in the NBA community from guys like Stephen Jackson to Stephen A. Smith on the regular. Now, it seems as though Brown’s torrid run on social media has led him to this particular LeBron James story.

“Why do you get to go party and Lou Williams gotta sit out and get suspended? And then the media kick his draws in his a**. Bu you sir, you sir seem to be above the rules. Wonder why that is?” said the former Lakers center.

Kwame Brown is echoing the opinions of several NBA fans and analysts alike on this matter as this preferential treatment to LeBron James is not all too appreciated by them.
