Adrian is the most reliable NBA correspondent in the current generation. “Woj” is the biggest news-breakers in the league and has been a reliable source since a long time.
While he apologized for his profane email, ESPN has suspended him without pay for an undisclosed time period. NBA fans on twitter has spoken out against the ban and hashtag “freeWoj” has been used. Several NBA players have also supported this on Twitter.
‘Woj’ will be hoping that the ban doesn’t last long, as the NBA Bubble restart is around the corner.
What’s the story behind the Woj being suspended?
US Senator Josh Hawley wrote an open letter to NBA commissioner Adam Silver criticizing the league’s relationship with China. The senator also called out the league to allow messages in support of police, the military and Hong Kong protesters on player jerseys.

In response to the newsletter, Adrian sent a expletives filled mail back to the Senator. Josh Hawley went public with the response and Woj has come under criticism for his immature act.
Adrian tweeted out an apology for his foul-mail and hasn’t tweeted since.
A lot of fans feel that Senator Josh Hawley’s initial letter to Adam Silver was merely a PR stunt, so as to bring himself into the limelight for highlighting ‘China’ related issues.
The letter clearly hasn’t gone down well with fans and with Woj himself too. But the ESPN reporter realised that it wasn’t very wise of him to send an F-bomb to the senator.
