Aaron Rodgers is one of the greatest football players alive. But, throwing a football isn’t the only thing he’s good at. The new New York Jets QB has some experience throwing some insults around as well. TNT’s Shaquille O’Neal was once on the receiving end.

In 2020, the All-Star Weekend featured a new segment, the Inside the NBA All-Star Roast. The crew of Shaq, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson were left in tatters. The likes of Tiffany Haddish, Jay Pharoah, Lilly Singh, and Jeff Ross were too much to handle. Of course, you don’t need a professional comedian to roast that panel.
Just two years prior, during NBA TNT Tip-Off, the crew interviewed NFL star Aaron Rodgers. The then-Green Bay Packers QB was asked some interesting questions. One, in particular, was what he would do if Big Diesel was on his team. Well, his response left the four-time NBA Champion quite embarrassed.
When asked if he would throw him the football, Aaron Rodgers roasted Shaquille O’Neal
The Inside the NBA crew is one of the funniest in the television business. The group featuring Shaq, Chuck, Ernie, ad Kenny can get anybody to crack up. This is in part due to their amazing chemistry and their tendency to roast each other.
However, there are times when their guests do the roasting. Immediately, the mind goes to Kevin Hart, Candace Parker, and Kevin Garnett, all of whom have had some good burns on the show. But, in 2018 Aaron Rodgers threw a bullet pass right at Shaquille O’Neal that had him fumbling.
The Big Aristotle presented a hypothetical situation to A-Rod. One where in he was on his team in the Super Bowl. There are two seconds on the clock, would he throw it to him? Well, Rodgers said he would, but he wanted to know if it would be 1992 Shaq or 2018 Shaq.
“Nah I’m checking. I’m throwing it to you Shaq. But, are you talking about 92′ Shaq or 2018 Shaq?”
Shots were certainly fired on that day and Shaq could do was sit there and take it. He should be used to it though, because as mentioned earlier, no one roasts him as much as the Inside the NBA crew.
Shaq is constantly being roasted by his Inside the NBA crewmates
A little jab from Aaron Rodgers is nothing compared to what Shaquille O’Neal has been put through by his Inside the NBA crewmates. The four-time NBA Champion has been roasted several times. Whether it’s for his boneheaded takes or just because Ernie, Kenny, and Charles feel like bullying him.
Safe to say he’s become rather thick-skinned over the years. A roast or two here and there certainly isn’t going to damage his self-esteem.
