The Los Angeles Lakers extended their win streak to seven last night, as they beat the Memphis Grizzlies. The Lakers topped the Grizzlies over 115-105, marking yet another comeback win for the defending champions. The Lakers were trailing the Grizzlies 22-2 to begin the game, but the resilience of the Lakers and LeBron James got them the win.
James just had two points in the opening period but scored 26 over the next three to push the Lakers over the Nuggets. LBJ finished the night with 28 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. Anthony Davis, in his return from injury, led the Lakers with 35 points and 9 rebounds.
Frank Vogel is all praise for LeBron James post win over Grizzlies
LeBron James is playing his 18th season in the NBA and has recently turned 36. Even with all that mileage on him, the King has not shown any signs of slowing down or deterioration. In fact, even right now, LBJ sits on the top of the list of the MVP candidates this season.
After the game, Head Coach Frank Vogel was asked to describe his thoughts on LBJ’s performance this season, and more specifically, in the recent games. Vogel had no hesitation, as he delivered a 3-word answer. He said, “you’re watching greatness”.

LeBron James has led the Lakers to a 21-6 record this season, which puts them at the #2 spot in the West. He has been averaging 25.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, 7.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
He is doing all that while shooting 29.8% from the field and 39.1% from the deep. His clutch gene is right on point, as he scored three clutch three-pointers in the Lakers’ last 3 games to send them to overtime on all three occasions.
Even at 36, LeBron James is looking as sharp as ever, and we should enjoy his greatness while we can witness it.
