In the latest episode of Podcast P with Paul George, the spotlight was back on a Paul George as he put to test his uncanny impression skills once again. The Los Angeles Clippers star channeled his inner Jay Pharoah and nailed yet another Charles Barkley impression after his previous one had gone viral on social media. As mentioned, this wasn’t George’s first attempt at doing a Barkley. He tried his hand at it on a previous episode, where he had made fun of the Chuckster finding it difficult to pronounce WNBA star A’ja Wilson’s name. After the success of the previous clip, PG had to run it back once again to give the people what they wanted.

While George’s co-hosts erupted with laughter and applause, it’s worth remembering that this light-hearted exchange contrasted a previous incident. About two years ago, Barkley had publicly taken a jab at George during a TNT broadcast, telling him to stop complaining constantly about the criticism he faces. Sir Charles had added that all great players have faced it at some point. George’s flawless impersonations show that he doesn’t harbor any resentment toward Barkley for the past comments.
Paul George once again nails his Charles Barkley impression
During a recent episode of his widely-followed podcast ‘Podcast P’, George once again demonstrated his mimicry skills with an impeccable Charles Barkley impression that left his co-hosts in splits.
Prompted by co-host Jackie Long to deliver his Charles Barkley impression again, George didn’t hold back. He skillfully imitated Barkley’s trademark judgemental and opinionated remarks, offering a tongue-in-cheek take on the “back in my day” narrative. With a sly grin, George said,
“Jackie to think about it, let me tell you…. See back when I played you almost had to chuck a guy when he got hot or foul him and put him on his a**. But these guys now are just too soft.”
The reaction was immediate – laughter echoed throughout the studio. The response from his co-hosts was indicative of George’s successful execution. PG topped it off with a Kawhi Leonard impression that also seemed to impress everybody.
“I feel like I’m pretty good at impressions,” the 33-year-old said after doing his thing. We don’t think even his greatest hater would disagree with that sentiment.
Barkley’s complaints against PG
A couple of years back, Charles Barkley, known for his honest opinions, gave his unfiltered thoughts on Paul George and his habit of complaining about the criticism he faces. Barkley didn’t mince his words as he pointed out that almost every great player in NBA history received criticism until they grabbed a championship ring—a feat that cements their legacy in the league.

The 1993 NBA MVP said, “Give me a freaking break,” capturing his frustration with George’s focus on minor matters, like his ‘Pandemic P’ nickname. Beneath the surface-level ribbing, there exists mutual respect between the two for their accomplishments in the league. Hence, Barkley’s urge to push PG to fulfill his true potential and win a ring.
