“I didn’t see a single message”: Neymar Lashes Out At PSG Supporters For Lack Of Support

Neymar Champions League Ban : The PSG player is set to be investigated by UEFA

While he was unable to enact his antics on the pitch when PSG took on Barcelona, Neymar decided to revel in his shenanigans on Twitter.

Out on the injury bed at the moment with his customary injury sprucing up prior to his sister’s birthday, Neymar took to the internet to express his angst at the officiating on the day. The PSG player pointed fingers at the referee for awarding Barcelona a penalty, one which Lionel Messi went onto convert to give the home side a 1-0 lead.

Neymar Mocks Penalty Call On Twitter

Neymar was clearly flummoxed at the call as he wrote, “Joke” ensuing the call on Twitter. However, he was quick to delete the post afterwards after realising he could land into trouble for it.

Its to be of little consequence though with UEFA, the Champions League governing body set to launch an investigation into the comment. As per the council’s guidelines, any remark which is considered as a direct jibe at referees can attract a two match ban.

Whilst it remains to be seen if Neymar will be levelled with the charge, the player does look to be on the verge of finding himself in a thicket. The stricture as embedded by UEFA could end up leaving Neymar out of his old employers visit to Paris later in March.

Reports have meanwhile emanated of Neymar’s impending contract extension at PSG. The player is said to be eager to hammer down his future at the side with him slated to put pen to paper to an extension in the forthcoming days.

PSG Claw Back From 1-0 Deficit

Despite going down on the night, PSG managed to breeze their way to an emphatic win. It was one constricted by Mbappe with the 22 year old Frenchman netting home a man of the match hattrick on the night.

PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino said of Mbappe’s performance: “There’s no doubt that Kylian is one of the best players in the world, despite his young age. He’s already done extraordinary things, but we have to stay humble.”

“Kylian shone tonight. Everyone is happy with his performance. When Kylian shines in the big matches, he makes the difference. He brought us this victory,” PSG captain Marquinhos said after the tie.
