Neymar to Barcelona rumors

Neymar to Barcelona rumors: The Brazilian forward has been increasingly linked with a move back to Camp Nou.

Neymar joined Paris Saint Germain in 2017, and has since been one of their star players. A few controversies off-the-pitch led to speculations suggesting that the player could move back to La Liga, but Neymar played down the rumours.

However, the rumours linking the Brazilian star with a return to Barcelona gathered pace after it was reported that PSG could be hit with FFP sanctions this year.

Spanish outlet El Mundo reported earlier this month that Neymar is ‘desperate’ for a move back to Barcelona, and allegedly contacted the club’s officials on five occasions to discuss a reunion.

Neymar’s father has since denied that any such incidents happened, and took to Instagram to voice his frustration. The footballer has himself commented on the news now, and his outburst isn’t unlike his father’s.

Neymar to Barcelona rumors:

The Brazilian forward was given a rest in PSG’s 3-0 win over Amiens on Saturday, but voice his opinion on the rumours linking him to Barcelona.

In an angry outburst, Neymar denied any such move and stated that he’s frustrated with the ‘fake news.’

“I’m looking at fake calls and fake news, when I’m angry with lies, when false friends come to talk to me and I put on the face that I do not know anything,” Neymar said.

Neymar joined Paris Saint Germain in a massive £198m deal from Barcelona in the summer of 2017.

Earlier this month, Barcelona’s sporting director Pep Segura addressed the rumors linking Neymar to a return. While he denied the rumors, he stated that the player was not in the market.

“All players who are in the market are likely to come if they fit our needs. Today, Neymar is not in the market.

“If one day there is a possibility, does anyone believe that a club like Barca does not have to consider it?” Segura stated.

Lionel Messi, meanwhile, said in an interview with Marca in December that he would ‘love him to come back’, but acknowledged that the process for his comeback would be complicated.

“I think it is complicated how Neymar would leave PSG,” Messi said.

“We would love him to come back, as a player and in the dressing room. We’re friends, we had some good experiences together and others not so much,” the Barca star stated.
