With a managerial trophy cabinet that includes a La Liga title, consecutive UEFA Champions League titles, UEFA Super Cups and FIFA Club World Cups, Zinedine Zidane has already built up an impressive CV. And now reports coming in from Italy suggest that Serie A giants Juventus are planning to get in their ex-player on board as their manager.

This report circulated soon after Antonio Conte’s rumored move away from Chelsea. As a result, current Juventus boss Max Allegri became the top candidate to be linked with the defending PL champions.

And speculations were equally quick to surface about Juventus looking for a perfect replacement. According to the Corriere dello Sport, the Bianconeri would turn their heads to former player Zidane in such a case. Although Simone Inzaghi and Roberto Mancini are also on the radar, Zidane would be their top priority.

Madrid are going through a crisis right now, where the title holders stand 19 points adrift the top spot in La Liga and given their recent slump in performances, one can expect that Florentino Perez might take the extreme step to sack one of Real Madrid’s most successful managers.

Should Madrid continue their poor run, Juventus fans would want one of their best players return to Turin. And given that Zidane is quite fluent in Italian whilst also knowing the Serie A closely, it is an add on for the excitement.

In his two-year term at Real Madrid, Zidane led Los Blancos to back-to-back Champions League titles making them the only team to retain the trophy in the Champions League era since 1992. With 85 wins in 120 games, Zidane has an incredible 70%-win rate to his name. The Frenchman had won the Serie A twice at his time with Juventus along with a UEFA Super Cup and the Supercoppa Italiana.
