Three months later, it still feels weird to see Neymar turning out for PSG at the Parc des Princess. Neymar felt like the perfect fit at Barcelona and was seen as the next king of Camp Nou once Messi had decided to leave his throne.
But his shocking exit left Barcelona reeling as they suddenly faced the prospect of replacing an irreplaceable player. In what was one of the most shocking transfers of all time, Neymar decided to leave Barcelona and come to Paris in an attempt to take over the footballing world.

Barcelona legend Xavi has now revealed that Neymar had told his Barca team mates that he wanted to leave the club at Messi’s wedding.
This is what the magical midfielder had to say,
‘He said to us at Messi’s wedding that he wanted to change club,’ said Xavi. ‘I said to him but why?
He said “I am not happy in Barcelona, I prefer to leave, to have a new experience in Europe at PSG” and finally he did, it was his decision, we must respect it.
“I think with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, PSG have a great chance to win the Champions League this season.”
Messi was upset when he heard this and pleaded Neymar to stay. The Argentine knew that Neymar wanted to win the Ballon d’Or and told the Brazilian that he will ensure that he wins the big trophy.
Messi was ready to sacrifice his free kick and penalty duties if it meant that Neymar would stay, but his efforts were all in vain.
