4 Years After Buying it For a Modest $1.9 Million, Patrick Mahomes is Reportedly Selling His 1.4 Acre Kansas City Property
Patrick Mahomes is one of the smartest players in the competition when it comes to handling money. Along with having stakes in franchises like the Kansas City Royals and KC Current, the poster boy of the NFL owns some highly lucrative properties as well. As it turns out, one such property, which the star signal-caller purchased for $1.9 Million four years ago in 2019, is now apparently up for sale.
Mahomes, as reported by Variety’s Dirt, recently listed his renovated Kansas City house for around $3 Million. The luxurious home, which was originally built in the 1950s, was heavily renovated by Brittany and Patrick.
The star couple reportedly spent around $400,000 on adding state-of-the-art upgrades to the house. So in total, they have spent around $2.3 Million on the house and if it ends up getting sold for the listed price, the Mahomes are set to make a hefty profit in less than 4 years.

Sitting on a 1.4-acre property, the lavish Missouri house contains three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a media room, living and dining rooms, a heated pool, a fire pit, a lounge, an updated sunroom, and a massive 5-car garage. Given that the property contains the essence of the 50s along with contemporary upgrades, it won’t be a surprise if it ends up housing new millionaires in the coming months.
There were reports that the Chiefs were willing to redo Patrick’s contract to make him the highest-paid QB in the competition. However, Mahomes, who annihilated all his opponents last season to clinch the Lombardi, recently made it clear that he isn’t looking for a massive pay raise.
Patrick Mahomes Opts For the TB12 Way
Patrick Mahomes has taken the TB12 route when it comes to settling for a comparatively low salary and opting to look at the bigger picture. Despite being one of the finest signal callers in the history of the competition, Brady regularly took pay cuts to keep the best possible talent around him. Hence, he ended his career with more Super Bowl rings than any single franchise in the league’s history.
Similarly, Mahomes, who has made his way to three Super Bowls in just six seasons, has no issues with getting paid less than what the likes of Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, and Aaron Rodgers are getting. The brainy QB wants other stars in his unit, like Travis Kelce, to get paid accordingly, so that he can keep adding more Super Bowl rings to his collection.
This tactic, along with the fact that he is quick to pour money into lucrative start-ups, will probably end up making Mahomes one of the richest athletes on the planet in the years to come.
