$50,000,000 Worth T.E George Kittle Slapped With a Hefty Fine for NSFW Gesture Against the Cowboys
The 49ers are on a winning streak this season. The Brock Purdy-led team remains unbeaten after 6 weeks. TE George Kittle has given some amazing performances this season, but his most talked about performance has to be his celebration during the 42-10 win against the Cowboys last week.
The $50M worth TE had an out-of-the-ordinary celebration when he revealed the t-shirt he was wearing under his jersey. The gray t-shirt read, ‘F*ck Dallas’ and generated quite the buzz. People had split opinions on the matter, but Cowboys’ Micah Parson was less than happy at this gesture. The NFL has now fined the TE for the gesture, according to ESPN.
George Kittle’s Nod to Gary Plummer
49ers TE George Kittle has been fined $13,659 for his celebratory gesture during the Cowboys game. He flashed a gray t-shirt under his jersey with blue lettering saying “F*ck Dallas” after RB Jordan Mason scored a touchdown early in the fourth quarter. Despite the fine, Kittle has no regrets. Of his gesture, the TE said on Thursday,
“Probably get a fine…I wore a personalized T-shirt, maybe an inappropriate word. So it is what it is. It was a decision I made. If they want to fine me, they fine me…I’d do it again.”
George Kittle had three catches for 67 yards and three touchdowns in the win.

The gesture seems to be an homage by Kittle to former Niners linebacker Gary Plummer who made a similar gesture in 1994, during the NFC Championship Game against the Cowboys. The Cowboys-49ers rivalry was the league’s biggest rivalry at the time. The $10k+ fine is probably not going to burn a hole in his $50M pocket, and he definitely thinks it was worth the cost. Fans however dubbed the league the “No Fun League” for fining him.
Micah Parsons Not a Fan of Kittle’s Antics
America’s team has not been performing to its caliber. The franchise currently stands 3-2, including an upsetting loss against the Cardinals. Needless to say, their 42-10 loss to the 49ers loss was even more upsetting. George Kittle’s message probably didn’t help them take the loss in stride.
Linebacker Micah Parson seems to think Kittle made things “personal” with his jab at the Cowboys. On his podcast ‘The Edge,’ Parsons expressed his displeasure at Kittle’s t-shirt and his subsequent Instagram post. He pointed out Kittle’s incredible performance during the game but found his gesture to be insulting and in poor taste. He said on his podcast,
“George Kittle had three touchdowns on us. And he posted this thing to IG ‘F***k Dallas. I just feel like it’s making me way more personal than it had to be. Kittle’s my guy but Imma say this, laugh now, cry later.”
He further underscored that the Cowboys will be looking for revenge the next time they meet the 49ers, and said, “You gonna make it personal? We can make it personal. That’s cool.”

The 49ers have been getting the best of the team at Dallas since last season when they ended the Cowboys’ playoff run in the divisional round. If they are to meet again this season, it’ll probably be in the postseason. But if the past is any indication, the Cowboys won’t stand much of a chance then too.
