A-List Tight End Joe Burrow Is Urged by Rob Gronkowski to Fight for the Same Contract That Tom Brady Once Demanded

Star QB Joe Burrow has achieved a lot of success for the Cincinnati Bengals. After all, taking a team to two AFC Championship Games in three years is not an easy task to accomplish. Moreover, Burrow will soon sign an extension deal with the Bengals and it is expected to be an enormous one, given how well he has been doing over the years. Therefore, to guide him in this important phase of his professional career, legendary tight end Rob Gronkowski recently imparted his knowledge to him.

The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end played in the league for eleven seasons. He did so with some of the most talented players of all time. However, the biggest superstar who shared the stage with Robbie G was NFL GOAT, Tom Brady, who is not only remembered for his seven Super Bowl rings but also for accepting low contract money in order for the team to have enough dollars to sign better players.

What instruction did Gronk give to Joe Burrow?

Burrow has made numerous records and has helped his team in winning countless games. Therefore, many believe that the team will pay him back with a hefty contract. However, Gronkowski advised $10 Million worth quarterback Joe Shiesty against that.

Gronk appeared on Up & Adams where he discussed the future contract of the Cincy QB. According to him, the young signal caller should go down the Tom Brady route and focus more on getting a set of stars around him in the unit.

“Yeah, 100% I mean, I believe that will, you know, set him up to be in the Super Bowl contention every single year and he reminded me of Brady, when he was coming out of LSU, just a way that he sits back in the pocket, and just reads the offense and just delivers it flawlessly, to wherever he needs to deliver the football, but also with the contract now, he’s already thinking, you know, he wants to good players around him. He wants good teammates around him and that’s a great thing.”

“I mean, what’s the difference? If you’re a quarterback, you’re in this day and era and you’re in this market, and you have good teammates around you, you’re building your legacy, you’re gonna be in Super Bowl contention possibly win a Super Bowl, on your resume soon and then you take a quarterback-friendly deal. I mean, what’s the difference between 47-48 million or 53-54 million when the next highest guy and your team’s only getting paid in the 20s.”

Gronkowski suggests that Burrow should consider how to approach his next contract negotiation if he wants to continue resetting the quarterback market, as he did with his previous contract. Burrow, who once said that his team’s Super Bowl window is always open with him, should take this into account.

Burrow wants his WRs to get what they deserve

The speculation around mighty Joe’s contract will go on until the final details emerge. In the meantime, the QB appeared at a press conference and said that it is very important that the team pay his teammates well, specifically, his wide receivers Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase.

“You want that to be a focal point,” Burrow said. “We’re working to make that happen. You gotta have good players. It doesn’t matter how good your quarterback is. If you don’t have good players around him, you’re not going to be a very good team.”

These three are the most crucial part of the Bengals roster because it was with Higgins’ and Chase’s help that Burrow could win numerous big games. Both, Higgins and Chase have made a significant impact in the postseason, with Chase even earning the NFL Rookie of the Year award in 2021.

It will be interesting to see how big a contract Burrow gets in the coming days.
