Aaron Rodgers’ Kitchen In $9,500,000 NJ Mansion Deemed a “Nightmare” By Popular Interior Designer
Aaron Rodgers made headlines for acquiring a whopping $9,500,000 luxurious residence in New Jersey earlier this year, after being traded to the Jets. However, it appears that even the most extravagant purchases can come with their setbacks. Surprisingly, a popular interior designer critiqued the QB’s kitchen, calling it a ‘nightmare’.
Bilal Rehman, a Houston-based Interior Designer, who owns Rehman Studios took to ‘Insider’ to share some alarming insights about the new mansion. The high-end real estate design failed to impress him, despite the extravagant price tag.
Design Disaster: Interior Designer Bilal Rehman Critiques Rodgers’ NJ Mansion
Bilal Rehman, the luxury Interior Designer didn’t limit his critique while reviewing Rodgers’ lavish New Jersey residence. He provided a detailed analysis of the space, highlighting the impractical aspects of the kitchen via ‘Insider’.
The kitchen for the mansion has a modern spacious design, with ample storage and sleek finish. However, they failed to comply with the rules of comfortable usage per Bilal. Critiquing the kitchen design from the point of view of practicality, Bilal said,
“I think that the kitchen, in terms of functionality, is probably one of the worst kitchens I’ve ever seen…You have to go from one end of it to use the sink to the other end to use the stove, then flip around the island to go to the wine fridge.”
However, he was impressed with the grandeur of the mansion, but the limited counter space adjacent to the refrigerator led him to point out the inconvenience of anyone cooking in the space. Going forward he also made a point that for the mansion to be functional, the kitchen would require a redesign sooner or later.
Aaron Rodgers Acquires Costly Comfort Worth $9.5 Million
Aaron Rodgers transitioned to the New York Jets making a major career move, following which he suffered an Achilles injury. However, his acquisition of the massive $9.5 million lavish property in Montclair has managed to keep in the headlines.
The impressive property boasts eight bedrooms, ten bathrooms, and an array of amenities provided for luxurious living. It includes the high-end kitchen, reportedly disliked by Bilal Rehman, alongside a lower-level lounge, media room, wine cellar, in-law suite, and a home gym. The property also features solar roof panels for that added environmental edge to the purchase.

The property spans over 2 acres offering outdoor spaces for expansion and a potential for a future pool. Rodgers’ new home was listed at a staggering $11 million. However, it cost the Jets quarterback $9.5 million which is still believed to be pricey for the neighborhood by the realtors.
In one such comment, Jenny Lenz from Dolly Lenz Real Estate talked about the overpriced purchase saying,
“At $9.5 million it is quite pricey, especially considering the average home value in Montclair, NJ, is just under $1 million.”
It is no surprise as the highest-priced properties listed in Montclair as of now are listed under $2.7 million. While the cost price for Rodgers is considerably down from the listing, the realtors’ argument stands a chance. Nevertheless, congratulations are in order as Aaron Rodgers adds this massive property to his real estate portfolio. Even as his return to the field is anticipated, Rodgers’ two-year deal has upgraded his budget and lifestyle.
