AJ Brown's hilarious reaction on Tom Brady's retirement leaves internet in splits

No doubt, Tom Brady is the ultimate GOAT! As a result, all that is associated with the NFL legend becomes priceless and irreplaceable. Even emerging talents like A. J. Brown believe in that notion. However, too much fanboying can sometimes lead to hilarious and downright bizarre situations. Something of that sort happened in Brady’s case as well which once garnered an epic reaction from Brown. While AJ was speaking at the Super Bowl LVII press conference earlier this year, he was asked about Brady’s ‘retirement sand’ that was being sold on eBay for $100,000. As expected, AJ couldn’t prevent himself from laughing out loudly.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion announced his retirement in February this year after ruling the NFL world for more than two decades. It was an emotional moment for him as the veteran decided to shoot his retirement announcement video on a beach in Miami. Instantly, the video went crazy viral, but one fan in particular saw this as an opportunity to earn some cash. The unnamed fan collected the sand from where Brady recorded the video and listed it on eBay upon storing it in a jar.

AJ Brown had a hilarious reaction to Brady’s retirement sand idea

A couple of days after Brady’s announcement, the jar full of sand was listed for auction. Surprisingly, a bidder actually placed a bid of $99,900, for the jar, shocking the entire football fraternity. Yes, it was just some sand collected from a surfside located at Miami Beach near the Indian Creek property, that Brady and his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen bought a couple of years ago, which was fetching an almost six future bid.

No doubt, Brady’s retirement video has great significance in the history of the league, and it has deservedly amassed 125 million+ views, but collecting the sand was just absurd. Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown was asked to comment on the sand auction while he addressed the media during the Super Bowl LVII press conference.

“Tom Brady is a GOAT so, that may be underpriced but I would not buy no sand” Brown replied with a cheeky smile, per Blackenterprise.com. Indeed, the level of craziness among Brady fans is just on a completely different level. Thankfully, Brown responded to the question smartly without hurting anyone’s sentiments, otherwise, we all know what those crazy fans would have done on Twitter.

AJ Brown is a hardcore Tom Brady fan

When TB12 announced his first retirement last year, many fans and experts were convinced that they have seen the last plays from the greatest ever. However, athletes like Brown were quite sure that the veteran would come back to the competition, as his competitive attitude wouldn’t let him stay at home.

“I truly believe Tom Brady isn’t done playing football. The urge to want to do more it’s going to drive him insane. So what’s next for ‘me’ is all you know. I think he will relax for a few days or weeks, but his mind of an ultimate competitor will soon speak to him again,” Brown had claimed on Twitter. Eventually, Brown’s prediction turned out to be true, as Brady returned to play for one more season and finally called it quits again a few months ago.

However, this time Brady looks serious about not coming back on the football field. In fact, he also wrote an open letter to the NFLPA regarding his retirement call. In the 2023 season opener, fans will get to see Brady being honored by the New England Patriots and as expected, demand for that particular game’s tickets are already through the roof.
