Aaron Rodgers

After all the high-octane drama which also contained episode involving ayahuasca benefits and darkness retreat, Aaron Rodgers is finally headed to New York. Aaron took his own sweet time in deciding what he wanted to do with his career. After starting off at Green Bay in 2005, Rodgers went on to lead the way in Green and Gold till the end of the 2022 season.

Rodgers just loves to play the suspense game. As soon as the 2022 season came to an end, speculations regarding his future in the league started spreading like wildfire. Despite regular enquires, Aaron kept on making vague statements and ended up going for a darkness retreat. He finally made his intentions clear to stay in the competition during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.

Aaron Rodgers played for 18 long seasons in Green & Gold

When Aaron talks, fans expect the unexpected. So making it absolutely clear that he has no intention to play for the Packers again, Rodgers had told McAfee that he wants to be a Jet. In fact, he reportedly told his agent that either he’ll play for the Jets, or he’ll not play in the league anymore.

All the soap opera drama finally culminated recently when Packers’ GM Brian Gutekunst stated that Rodgers trade will be finalized very soon. While there is no doubt about the fact that Aaron is no easy man to manage as he loves to get involve in controversies, no one can deny the fact that for 18 long seasons, he gave his all for Green Bay on the field.

Winning season MVP honors on as many as 4 occasions, Aaron made his way to the Pro Bowl a whopping 10 times. However, what the Packers fans will regret the most is that despite him being one of the finest QBs in the competition, Aaron could only guide Green Bay to a solitary Super Bowl title. Back in 2011, Aaron led Green Bay against Steelers in the finale which ended in the favor of the men in Green & Gold.

Is A-Rod trade a win-win deal for both Green Bay & New York?

As we all know, the Jets were expected to go all out to get Aaron Rodgers and they ended up doing exactly that. Green Bay will feel that they have got a good deal as they are set to receive Jets’ 13th, 42nd and 207th picks from this year’s draft. In addition to this, Green Bay will also get one of Jets’ second-round picks as well from the 2024 draft.

However, if Aaron plays 65% or more of Jets’ offensive plays the coming season, then the second rounder will be turned into first round pick from the 2024 draft. As far as the Jets are concerned, along with Rodgers, they’ll be taking home Packers’ 15th and 170th picks from the 2023 draft.

It will be interesting to see how Aaron plays this season.
