Aaron Rodgers, the star quarterback of the Green Bay Packers made his intentions clear when he appeared on the ‘Pat McAfee Show’. There, he expressed his interest in playing for the New York Jets. The Jets fans were assured that Aaron Rodgers and the team would work things out and bring the QB to New York. However, it has almost been a month, and no news regarding the trade has come out yet. Is the former Super Bowl champion still interested in playing for New York?

A few weeks ago, when the general manager of the team was asked when Aaron Rodgers would join the team, he said soon. But it’s high time that the fans received some answers. Did something change between the parties?
Why is the Aaron Rodgers-New York trade taking so long?
It is widely believed that both teams are stuck on deciding the right compensation price. The Jets do not want to overpay the back-to-back MVP winner, while the Packers are not ready to accept less than what a Rodgers trade would usually fetch.
Even though the deal is taking an awful amount of time, it is safe to imagine that the signal caller will most probably play for NY this season. Though the deal hasn’t come to fruition, Sports Illustrated Insider Albert Breer contributed to the ongoing discourse.

The Insider revealed important news about compensation. Both teams have agreed to send one of the Jets’ second-round picks for the 2023 NFL Draft in the deal. However, prospects for the upcoming years are the deal breakers.

The Jets want to make sure that they don’t give a first-round pick in 2024 or 2025 without any protection to have it back if Rodgers decides to call it quits after one year. But what if the deal does not go through?
The Titans are also showing interest in Rodgers
The 2023 NFL Draft is only ten days away. This could shake things up again. Although there has only been one team flirting with Rodgers, it will not take long for other teams to join the romance.
As per a former NFL executive who spoke to the NFL Analysis Network, the Titans reached out to the Green Bay Packers in hopes of an Aaron Rodgers trade. Even though the executive confirmed that the Jets will win Rodgers’ heart, he asked to look out for Tennessee to pop up if the talks fall through.
The Titans are a surprising match for Rodgers, as they are in their rebuilding phase and not looking to contend in 2023. Hence, the Jets look like the most logical landing for the QB, who is looking to win his second Super Bowl title.
