The New England Patriots chose several skilled players in the 2023 NFL Draft. One such player was the Troy center, Jake Andrews, who was selected as the 107th overall pick. For a Patriots squad that spent the previous two days concentrating on the defensive side of the ball, he is the first of a total of nine picks.

Andrews is an offensive lineman who possesses a unique skill set of being able to play at any of the three interior positions on the offensive line. Although he is primarily listed as a center, he is capable of filling in at guard if needed. This is especially valuable for the Patriots team as they faced various injuries to their offensive line during the 2022 season.
Now that the young talent is on his way to possibly becoming a star in the league, the fans want to know more about his personal life. They especially want to know who the athlete is dating.
Who is Jake Andrews’ significant other?
In his collegiate career, Jake started 23 games at right guard and 15 games at center. Versatility is what he brings to the sport; something that the Pats head coach, Bill Belichick, covets. During the Senior Bowl held in Mobile, Alabama, the Patriots had the opportunity to observe Andrews and had a meeting with him. Additionally, Andrews was previously coached by Cole Popovich, a former offensive line coach of the Patriots, during his time at Troy University. Given that his professional sports career has fared well, many tried to find out if Andrews had a girlfriend.

The 6’3″ player had kept his personal life on the down low. There is not a lot of information available about his dating life online. Hence, it can either be that the player is single and focusing on his career, or has done a great job at hiding his relationship from the public eye.
Pros and cons of drafting Andrews
Following are the positives and negatives of drafting Andrews as per Bleacher Report:
- Andrews has a strong physical build with a low center of gravity, which allows him to maintain a solid position and create a seal while executing angled blocks.
- He possesses exceptional competitive toughness, and his aggressive demeanor sets the tone on the field. He consistently drives his feet through contact, and he has a tendency to irritate defenders by playing until the very end of the play.
- Andrews is particularly effective at playing the post position in double teams, as he can create lift and push out defenders who line up directly opposite him.
- He has a precise and powerful punch, with an excellent grip strength that enables him to quickly establish leverage and maintain a tight hold on his opponent.
- Andrews has below-average athleticism and limited lateral quickness.
- He has little room for error when it comes to timing, angles, and recognizing defensive schemes, as he lacks the ability to consistently recover from mistakes.
- When attempting to redirect against moves that cross his face, he tends to step underneath himself, which leads to weak points in his blocking.
- Andrews doesn’t have much range or fluidity when moving to track down fast-moving defenders on the second level of the field.
